Alliance-Spain-300x170

The Spanish National Committee for UNICEF, coordinator of the Spanish Alliance for Investing in Children, has published new guidelines for the “Elaboration  of reports on regulations’ impact on children and adolescents”.

These guidelines are intended to be a useful tool for ex ante child rights impact assessment in legislation development. It proposes a model and a process for writing impact on children reports that, very likely, are going to be compulsory in Spain with the ongoing reform of Child Protection Law.

When existing national, regional and local commitments and initiatives around these assessments, entities and organisations that have taken part in this guide (Regional Childhood Observatory of Asturias, UNICEF Spanish NatCom and University of Comillas) have considered important to have an instrument to assist those civil servants (for each area of public administration) in charge of make such reports.
